A journey into the heart of glass
In March 2024, we set off for Willingen. The GPS indicated 180 km, but the idyllic country roads turned this journey into a three-hour trip. But who needs highways when you're rewarded with breathtaking views?
Willingen itself is a charming place, known for winter sports and a popular holiday destination. The town invites you to linger, but we had a mission: to find the perfect wine glass.
Willingen Glassworks – Where design meets craftsmanship
Upon arriving at the Willingen glassworks, we received a warm welcome from the management. A very pleasant conversation and delicious coffee made for a perfect start. But the real highlight was the tour through the hallowed halls of the factory.
From the showroom to the actual glassworks, the warehouse, and the engraving station – every step testified to the dedication and skill that goes into each individual glass. The live demonstration in the workshop, where an adorable penguin was being created, was particularly impressive. Craftsmanship at its best!
The perfect wine glass is created
We had a clear vision: stunning design and outstanding quality. The details were carefully discussed, and we are particularly proud that Willingen is one of the few manufacturers capable of calibrating their glassware. This gives our glass not only style but also precise functionality.
A perfect ending
After a day full of impressions, technical discussions, and craftsmanship, the day culminated in a shared glass of wine. Cheers to a successful project and a satisfying journey home.
